Just a note to let you know that I was gone for 20 days in January and then operated on [Cervical Fusion] on February 1, so I've been out of commission for some time. Hope to be back and active soon.

Allan and I love Italy, and we have such fond memories of Gaeta, Italy. This photograph was taken by Allan's sister Jayne when she visited us there.
You can see how wonderful the setting is with narrow walkways, steep stone stairs and vine-covered walls.
Those months in Gaeta were special as this photo indicates.
Once you have learned to love, you will have learned to live.
July 10, 2004 our daughter, Jill Johnson, and Eric Pai were married in the Rose Garden of Grant Park in Chicago.
Today, their family has grown to four...Sabrina Dee was five on June 11, 2010, and Brandon Allan was three on September 20, 2010.
They live in Chicago in the Jefferson Park area in a home they purchased in 2009. Eric works at hom for a computer software company, and Jill now has her own company that does furniture design and marketing.
Fortunately, we are able to see them frequently. Both Eric and Allan are Sports Fans, especially for the Chicago Cubs. All four of us love to play golf.
Sally Cat turned 16 years old on July 4, 2010. She died later that year. She was trained on a long, long leash, and she loved to go outside and lie in the sun or in the plants in the garden. Sally Cat was the only cat we've had who loved to walk on a leash.
She "stalked" the chipmunks, but she could never catch them. Of course, she was constantly "tangled up" so I spend much time untangling her. She stood still and waited until her collar was hooked before she moved to go out. We miss her so much. Such a good cat.
Here's the list of World Heritage UNESCO sites I have seen. It's not very much, but I hope to expand it.

Dear Dee. I too have been absent from VT lately and failed until today, to see you have been operated on! I hope all has gone well and that you are feeling much better now. Please let me know how you are! Many kisses and big hugs from a very sunny day n Greece.
Dear Dee: Just stopped by to say "Hi!" and see how you're doing and read about your recent operation. Hope all is well by now and you are up and about enjoying this lovely weather we've been having. xxx Lori
