  • Restaurant Name: SIGA LA VACA

Excellent service and a very good choice of meat and salads as well as french fries... Usually u have to wait for a while on weekdays cos they dont take reservations.
For 22 pesos you can eat all u want and it includes dessert and one drink -either wine or beer or soda or water.

    Favorite Dish: pork!!!

    el cerdo!!!

    SUCRE: Enjoy excellent cuisine!
  • Tip Rating:
  • Satisfaction:
  • Restaurant Name: SUCRE

it is very beautiful, there are lots of young people, there s a "barra" with many bottles in the background lit up which is very nice, and there s a "living room" section next to the huge windows with extremely comfortable seats so as to go with a group of friends.

Favorite Dish: I think the matambrito de cerdo is a good option (pork) but my favourite is the dessert: Volcan, i don t think i had ever tried anything so good in my life!! i even liked the cinammon panacota that comes with it (though i don t like cinammon) and the coffe flavour of the icecream that comes with the volcano of chocolate.

  • Restaurant Name: Verace

A warm, newish place, by fun Gourmet.com chef: Donato.

The place to find fine food... and come back for more...

Favorite Dish: at midday theres only pasta or salad to choose from but at night there s a lot of options a la carte to choose from and i recommend the fish... and the "tiramisu de mascarpone". also, excellent wine and liquors prepared by Verace as well.

ACABAR: Good food in a funny place
  • Tip Rating:
  • Satisfaction:
  • Buenos Aires - acabar restaurant buenos aires argentina
  • acabar restaurant buenos aires argentina
  • by luzmaria

  • Restaurant Name: ACABAR

    ACABAR

    COMIDA PORTENIA, CAFE , BAR.

Acabar is a huge place, almost laberynhtical, (it can hold up to 350 people) where you can go in a big group of people -mainly young people go there- and have fun.

Built on what used to be a doll factory, it combines an eclectic ambience with home made exquisite food thats not at all expensive.

Decorated in striking colours, handcrafted lamps, candles and black and gold pillows,
you ll find theres a wide variety of tastes all put together in 3 big rooms.

And on top of that, the main attraction of the place and the thing that makes it an original place where u feel at home, is the fact that you can play a wide selection of games for free. Ranging from Pictionary, la Carrera de Mente, el Trivial, el Backgammon, la Batalla Naval, el Bingo, el Ludo to el Sapo.

Excellent chill out music in the background...
go from 9pm to 5am. Beware, it will be crowded on weekends!!

Favorite Dish: I love pasta -though there are good quality meats there too. The salmon ravioli there are just perfect. My favourite...

But you can try the traditional "milanesas con pure tricolor"... thats some sort of fried meat with mashed potatoes...

Drink beer from anywhere in the world or better, share some clericot with your friends!

    Cumana: typically Argentine food
  • Tip Rating:
  • Satisfaction:
  • Restaurant Name: Cumana

I just love the variety of dishes, many of them from the North of the country, I strongly suggest you try a cazuela...

This place is extremely popular, so dont try to go there on a saturday night cos you ll have to wait an hour or 2 to get in.

Favorite Dish: Pastel de calabaza y lomo al barro. (Pumpkin and sirloin pie)

Las Cholas and La cholita: PARRILLA Y HORNITO DE CAMPO (meat)
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • Satisfaction:
  • Restaurant Name: Las Cholas and La cholita

I find these 2 restaurants to be pretty similar, actually identical when it comes to the food, though when it comes to ambience I like Las Cholas better, cos it has place to eat outdoors and its nicer somehow.
Las Cholas is located in Las Cañitas (Palermo area).

La Cholita on the other hand, is closer to all those satying downtown, located close to Santa Fe av., on Rodriguez Peña 1165.
    Phone: 4815 - 4506

    They both offer free delivery.

Favorite Dish: La Cholita has a great salad called "ensalada las cholitas", which i truly enjoyed... it goes well with any parrillada.

Also, at La Cholita you can try mate (for 4$pesos), but l dont think mate at a restaurant makes any sense... you should try mate with an Argentine cos thats how we all drink it.

OYE PEDRO: THE CHEAPEST TANGO SHOW + DINNER IN BS AS
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • Satisfaction:
  • Restaurant Name: OYE PEDRO

This is a good choice for people on a low budget who can pay 6 u$s instead of the typical 30 u$s to watch some tango dancers doing the tango while eating a complete meal at the "Patio de comidas" in the most beautiful mall in Buenos Aires (Galerias Pacifico).

Tango shows: Fri, Sat and Sundays from 19.45 to 21hs.

    Folklore shows on Thursdays.

Favorite Dish: Bife de chorizo or Lomito grille -argentine meat, that is.

And for dessert: Flan with dulce de leche or panqueque de dulce de leche. DELICIOUS!
