Mi Buenos Aires querido...

by luzmaria - last update: Aug 1, 2004

rio de la plata, buenos aires
Buenos Aires is located on the Rio de la Plata river coast.
nightlife

My favourite city in the world... :)

.Try this link to a NYTimes article about nightlife in Bs As. http://travel2.nytimes.com/mem/travel/article-page.html?res=9400EFD81030F933A15755C0A9629C8B63

BA means long nights, no sleep, loads of great food, espressos, "helados" (icecream) (at least one a day in summer).

Bs As has it all, whether you re looking for fun and nightlife or just peace and quiet at some park surrounded by nature, this city caters for all tastes...

There are 129 museums, 86 places to dance tango and more than 190 theatres. So while in Bs. As. you can dance to tango, watch a game of polo, try "mate" and "asado" (Argentinian meat) but most importantly the tasty "dulce de leche".

Though be careful when you cross the streets, cos we tend to drive a bit recklessly ;)

CULTURAL ACTIVITIES & TANGO

There are so many choices that you might not know where to start.
I suggest going to the Colon theatre, our main one, which is huge and fabulous, even if you re not interested in opera or ballet or classical music, you should go and take the guided tour within the theatre that will show it s hidden spots. you shouldn t miss it !

I suggest you enjoy Tango at the parks during the weekends. San Telmo, La Boca and many other neighbourhoods have dancers doing the tango in the parks, for instance u ll find them in Barrancas de Belgrano every Sunday from 7pm onwards and this is so in many other parks... Of course there are places where you can learn ike La Viruta or Parakultural among dozens of others...

Tango: GRACIAS BUENOS AIRES

Gracias BUENOS AIRES,muchas gracias.
