Chinatown: China town
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • According to some sources, New York China town is the biggest concentration of Chinese people outside China. Others beleive it is San Francisco. Anyway, New York China town is really big, full of ethnic restaurants and shops and, I must say that, with very dirty streets.

    Chrysler Building: Chrysler Building
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • Before I visit NY, I always thought that Chrysler building is Empire State Building and vice versa. Now I could make the difference but still cannot understand why Chrysler building is so underestimated for tourist purposes in comparison to ESB. It stands at 320 m but it lost the title of tallest building in the world to the ESB a few months after its completion in 1930.

    Flatiron Building: Flatiron Building
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • Originally named the Fuller Building after the construction company that owned it, this building by Chicago architect Davit Burnham was the tallest in the world when it was completed in 1902. One of the first building to use a steel frame, it heralded the era of the skyscrapers. This unusual triangular shape building is certainly on must see activities.

    Bronx: Bronx
  • Tip Rating:
  • Bronx is controversial neighbourhood of New York City. While some parts of Bronx are dangerous for tourists, in others some interesting spots such as worldwide known Bronx ZOO and Yankee stadium can be found. This picture taken from a boat shows area around Yankee stadium.

    Little Italy: Little Italy
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • Picturesque touristically designed Italian neighbourhood is place bordering Chinatown. I am not sure about these restaurants but in one of small caffes I have found real Italian espresso and very good tartuffo (tasty chocolate cake).

Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island: Statue of Liberty
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • A gift from the French to the American people, the statue was the masterpiece of sculptor Bartholdi and has become a symbol of freedom throughout the world. Ferry rides to Liberty Island and Ellis Island but be prepare to wait in line for more than three hours. Instead of such time-consuming activity you may take circle boat cruise from pier 83 and see the statue, as well as other major Manhattan sights in two or three hours cruises.

FYI, the Bronx is a borough (read: county) with over 1 million people, not a neighborhood.

Observing drug dealers in Washington Square Park is a little like seeing nuns at the vatican. They probably aren't there to start any trouble. Just ignore them. If you want a nice park Union Sq Park at 14th or Manhattan park at 23rd street.
