Before I visit NY, I always thought that Chrysler building is Empire State Building and vice versa. Now I could make the difference but still cannot understand why Chrysler building is so underestimated for tourist purposes in comparison to ESB. One of the first building to use a steel frame, it heralded the era of the skyscrapers. This unusual triangular shape building is certainly on must see activities.

Picturesque touristically designed Italian neighbourhood is place bordering Chinatown. I am not sure about these restaurants but in one of small caffes I have found real Italian espresso and very good tartuffo (tasty chocolate cake).

BxUnika Sat Feb 26, 2005 03:58 UTC FYI, the Bronx is a borough (read: county) with over 1 million people, not a neighborhood. | JVANYC Sun Feb 6, 2005 17:36 UTC Observing drug dealers in Washington Square Park is a little like seeing nuns at the vatican. They probably aren't there to start any trouble. Just ignore them. If you want a nice park Union Sq Park at 14th or Manhattan park at 23rd street. | spgood301 Thu Feb 3, 2005 05:00 UTC Hi Snoopy Sue, glad you enjoyed New York. I think I learned a few things about my hometown from you. Cheers! | irvbur Wed Jan 12, 2005 02:40 UTC Hi Snoopy, You did a great job of capturing the spirit of my home town. I'm thrilled you had a great time and took unbelievable pix. Irv |
