First US capital is a city of about eight million people covering 300 sq miles (780 sq km). New York City is made up of five parts: Manhattan, Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn and Staten Island. Most exploited area for tourist as well as city business, cultural and other center is Manhattan. During my visit to New York I spent almost all time on that island. Whatever opinion on Manhattan you one might have, it should be said that it is colorful melting pot of thousand lights, languages and cultures. |

Observing drug dealers in Washington Square Park is a little like seeing nuns at the vatican. They probably aren't there to start any trouble. Just ignore them. If you want a nice park Union Sq Park at 14th or Manhattan park at 23rd street. | spgood301 Thu Feb 3, 2005 05:00 UTC
