Field Museum
One of the main attractions in the Field Museum is popular Sue - the largest, the most complete and the best preserved Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton in the world. Although the sex of that ancient predator has been undetermined, it was named "Sue" in the honour of "dinosaur hunter" who found it - Susan (Sue) Hendrickson. But the "Sue", though attractive and unique, is not the only reason for visiting Field Museum. Ancient Egypt exhibition with simulation of Memphis market and with original ancient tomb is, among other things, something that cannot be easily found anywhere else.

Field Museum
Founded by Marshall Field to house the antropology and biology exhibits, left over from the Columbian Exposition of 1893, the Field focuses on the related fields of antropology, biology, geology and zoology. It has more than 20 million of specimens in the collection but only about 2% are exposed while the rest is in storage. About 90 scientists who work for the Museum have been permanently engaged in researches and projects all over the world. Apart from permanent collections, Museum offers a wide variety of temporary exhibitions. Very popular is ongoing exhibiton on Jackie Kennedy with lot of objects (dresses, letters etc.) from early sixties.

Chicago lighthouse
It looks just like any other lighthouse. What is so special with this one for me is the fact that it stands on shoulders of a really big city. Taken out from context it looks just like some small harbour town lighthouse. View from Navy Pier.
Fourth Presbyterian Church
New Fourth Presbyterian Church built 1914 was the first major structure built on Michigan Avenue after the 1871 fire. Nice and tranquil courtyard as well as church's organ which can be heard at weekly concerts.
Address: 866 North Michigan Avenue
Feris Wheel
There is nothing better than enjoy city panorama from funny Feris wheel located on Navy Pier.
Address: Navy Pier
Buckingham Fountain
One of the most impressive sights in Chicago. The fountain's 1 1/2 gallons (5,7 million liters) of water recirculate through a computer-operated pumping system at a rate of 14,000 gallons (53,000 liters) per minute. Hundreds of spotlights hidden within the fountain are used to create a dazzling show of colored lights. The 20-minute shows, set to music, are held from dusk to 11pm every hour on the hour, from April to October.

John Hancock Center
Affectionately called "Big John" by Chicagoans, John Hancock Center stands out as a bold feature of the Chicago skyline. The center's major attraction is the Observatory on the 94th floor. The elevator ride to the top is touted as the fastest in North America. At 20 miles (32 km) per hour, you reach the observatory in just 40 seconds.
Address: 875 North Michigan Avenue
