Haarlem, beautiful town near Amsterdam I was accomodated during my visit to Holland, is something what is really worth to be seen. This very old town from 13th century today is the centre of the Dutch printing, pharmaceutical and bulbgrowing industries. Most of the sites are in walking distance of the main market square (Grote Markt): Teylers Museum and Frans Hals Museum (famous dutch painter who lived in 17th century). My reccomendation for travelers is to take the room in private accomodation because it is not as expensive as it is in Amsterdam which could be reached in just twenty minutes by train. |
