Valley of Fire State Park is only about an hour drive from the Strip but it is like another world. The open feeling and beauty of the land and the heat of the desert are a wonderful break from the cold air-conditioned casinos on the strip......but I like the casinos too, don't misunderstand me.

Celine Dion..A New Day
This was an excellent show. The sets and lighting as well as the dancers were wonderful. Of course, Celine Dion was superb. What an incredible voice!

Why was this so special??? Well most of us don't get to see tigers let alone white tigers very often.

SHOWGIRLS!!

This huge stage show has been running since 1981. It has been updated on several occasions but has apparently kept the main parts of the show unchanged. There are hundreds of singers and dancers and thousands of costumes to see. It is a true extravaganza in the Las Vegas style. My wife and I amazingly were seated in the very front in the very center (a great seat but our necks hurt a bit from looking up). We loved it.

Excalibur Hotel/Casino: Tournament of Kings

No utensils at T of Kings.

I suppose this show was developed to entertain the kids that make up such a large part of the Las Vegas visitors. It may be for kids but we enjoyed it very much too. The skill of the performers was truly amazing. These people are much more than actors they are true athletes as well. The crowd participation (cheering etc.) was fun since it allowed us to act like children for a couple of hours.
