Restaurant Name: Emeril's Delmonico Steakhouse
We ate a Delmonico our first night in Vegas since we were staying at the Venetian. The dining area was large and tables were well spaced. It was dark but not too dark, just right for a romantic dinner. Our waiter was friendly and even gave me his business card, which I lost. The wine list was very good and I ordered a bottle of Opus One which was over-priced but good and what the heck, we were on vacation.
Favorite Dish: We started off with Oysters Bienville and the Wilted Spinach Salad. Both were great and more than large enough to split between two people. My wife had the Filet Mignon and I had the Bone-in Ribeye with mushrooms and scalloped potatos on the side. We both like rare and these steaks were cooked perfectly. They were also huge and we ended up asking for a doggy bag. The steaks (leftovers) were still great the next day for lunch in our room.

Restaurant Name: Isis
We were made to feel like royalty when we entered Isis. Our waiting staff (Joseph, Jean Pierre, Lee) made sure that everything was perfect. The interior was beautiful, private, quiet, and romantic.
Favorite Dish: We started off with the Baked Prawns Stuffed w/ Crabmeat and the Avocado and Crabmeat Salad. Our entrees were Bouillabaisse and a Trio of Meats (Veal, Filet, Lamb). The desserts looked fantastic but we just didn't have room.

Restaurant Name: Eiffel Tower Restaurant
A beautiful restaurant with one of the best views in Las Vegas. We asked and received a table with a great view of the Bellagio fountains. This restaurant is very popular and even with reservations you must wait in line to go up the elevator to the restaurant and to be seated. The waiting staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was very good.
Favorite Dish: We had the Roasted Duck and Candied Pear Salad then the Cold Asparagas and Crawfish soup (both Delicious). My wife had the Whitefish in Riesling and I had the Rack of Lamb.

Le Village Buffet: Waiting in line turned out to be worth it.

Restaurant Name: Le Village Buffet
The buffet is served in what resembles a courtyard in France. Even though many people were waiting there wasn't a feeling of being crowded once you entered the buffet. We went for breakfast at about 10am and were given a number and asked to return at 11am. When we returned we were let in but again had to wait in line for about 10 minutes or so. But as I said the wait was worth it. The food was delicious. Crepes made to your liking as well as countless other delicious things.
Favorite Dish: We were lucky in that lunch was served while we were still finishing our breakfast. We couldn't help but partake of a little of the lunch menu as well, especially when we saw the mountain of giant boiled (peeled) shrimp.

Restaurant Name: Emeril's New Orleans Fish House
The atmosphere was somewhat like the Emeril's in New Orleans except quieter and more reserved. The food was acceptable but could have been better (more flavorful) in my opinion.
Favorite Dish: Our appetizers were excellant. A dozen oysters on the half shell and the tempura fried salmon roll were great. Our spinach salad was also very good. Our main courses were the Shellfish Pasta (lacked flavor) and the Grilled Whitefish(a little dry) were acceptable but not up to Emeril's quality which I had become accustom. Still it was a nice evening.

8-0-8: A Unique and Excellent Restaurant

Restaurant Name: 8-0-8
The open kitchen is the first thing that catches your eye. The chefs are right in front of you doing their magic and you can sit as close to the action as you desire. We chose to sit on the front row and loved being able to hear and see how those great meals are made. Our waiting staff were all attentive and friendly and the various dishes were brought out in rapid succession. We will definitely go back to 8-0-8 and hopefully visit the orginal restaurant in Hawaii called "A Pacific Cafes".
Favorite Dish: The appetizers at 8-0-8 are so good that you almost forget to order a main course. We had the Grilled Scallops (huge and delicious), and the Deconstructed Ahi Roll (a small tower made of Ahi (raw tuna), crab salad, and avocado, on a bed of sushi rice. We also ordered the New Wave Bento which is a sampling of all the appetizers served in a bamboo box.
