The Drive We drove to Columbia Historic State Park from Fresno. We left Fresno airport after picking up our car from Dollar Rent A Car. We got a great deal on a Chrysler 300M, $35/day plus one day free. The total bill for 5 days was only about $113. |
| What a beautiful country! |
We found Gold! Not the gold that the 49ers were looking for back in the Gold Rush but something better. Miles and miles of beautiful California scenery which was covered by a golden carpet. It really caught us by surprise. |
| This road says, "Drive ME" |
Highway 49 Highway 49 was quite an experience. The road was wonderful if I were in a Ferrari, but in the Chrysler the twists and turns and steep cliffs were like a scary roller coaster. I'd love to do it again! |
