My grandma said that Ipoh used to be a bustling town. Kinda the heart of Malaya. But all that was before Malaysia's independence and before KL became our capital city.
Now, Ipoh is like a sleepy town. I was there for 2 weeks and everyday feels like Sunday. There are not that many cars on the road except for rush hour, and even then it was not so bad.
Most of the buldings there are quite old but beautiful. The people there are nice too. Quite helpful and they don't seem to rush much. |

KCChoong Mon Nov 29, 2004 03:34 UTC Agree with you about Ipoh. I lived there from 1954 to 1971 and have yearly visit since then until now. The town has seen changing times. Still it is still my town and I love to go back there every year. |
