If someone wants to know which area in Denmark is more Danish than others .... the answer would be definitely Jutland, the part of Denmark linked to Europe bordering Germany. Århus is the second largest city in Denmark (and as per Danish standard where the total polpulation is less than 6 mill.) and as the Dane likes to say, 'the smallest big city in the world'. |

|  | Traditionally, people living in Jutland and Fyn consider people in Sjælland as foreigners. On the other hand people living in Sjælland consider people in Jutland as 'village people'!!. Wherever the debate leads to.. visiting Denmark is not complete without visiting Århus, which could be called the 'capital' of the Jutland. As most pages on Aarhus here on VT show 'Den Gamle By' as the prime attraction of Århus, it is much more than that. Århus is a city where you can get a touch of beach, forest or village within minutes by bus. |
