I visited Botswana in 2006, when I was making a great trip through basically the whole of Southern Africa. First were Zambia and Zimbabwe, than Botswana and finally Namibia and South Africa.
The country is one big natural miracle. From the Chobe River in the East to the Okavango A in the West: the whole of Botswana looks beautiful. You can clearly see the difference between Zambia and Botswana: Botswana is clearly wealthier then its neighbour. The roads are perfect, the shops look very western, but at the same time the inland is authentically African, the people are very sweet and the wildlife is fantastic: elephants, hippo's, buffalo's, zebra's, wildebeasts, giraffes: you can find them all here. |
