Restaurant Name: COOP Supermarket

Eating out in Liechtenstein is not cheap. Like everything, food is pretty expensive in the country. A good alternative for this is to go picnicking in the beautiful mountains. There are plenty of great spots to sit down, enjoy the great views and have a good meal, and they are easily to reach by car or public transportation.

When you decide to go picnicking, the COOP Supermarket in central Vaduz is a good place to do your shopping. It is not a big supermarket, but you can even buy plastic plates, knives and cups: easy when you go for a picnic.

Another good thing about the COOP is that it is opened on Sundays. So every day in the week you can go here.

You can find the supermarket along the main road through Vaduz. From the central bus station and the Kunstmuseum, just follow the road towards Schaan for about 100 metres. There it is at the left side of road.

Favorite Dish: For a nice -and quasi-exclusive- picnic you can look for a nice piece of french bread with salmon, some olives or a bottle of champagne (easy to open without any tools).

Restaurant Name: Mc Donald's

In Triesen, just south from Vaduz, you can eat at the only (as far as I know) Mc Donald's Restaurant in the whole of Liechtenstein. Of course the food is just the same as everywhere else in the world, and so is the interior- and exterior design of the building.

But the food is cheap as always (compared to other places to eat in the country) with prices of about 7 CF per meal (€ 5,-) and the view is spectacular. From the terrace outside you have a great view of the mountains to the east.
