| | At the Pacific coast of Nicaragua the most popular place to stay is San Juan del Sur. This small village is situated in a beautiful bay, with a rough peninsula's at both sides. At the left side you'll see the fisherman's harbour with a green hill at the back. At the right side you'll see a high cliff and some luxurious houses on the hill above it.
The rest of the village is partly quiet and partly focussed on the backpackers that come here. "SJDS" is a popular surfing spot at the Pacific Coast. At some beaches along the coast it is said that the waves are fantastic and the beaches unspoiled.
Back in SJDS you have plenty of bars and restaurants where you can have a great meal with seafood and of course a nice and cool beer or a cocktail. |
