Restaurant Name: Le St. Regis
I have never eaten in Paris in a more French environment then here at Le St. Regis. It is a small brasserie at the west-end of the Ile St. Louis, directly opposite the bridge towards Ile de la Cité. At this small place all the ingredients are there to enjoy Paris to the max: good french bread, good "jus d'orange" and good coffee. But also: (coincidently probably) a real Citroen 2CV right next to the terrace, real french bistro chairs, live accordeon music at the background, a great view of the Notre Dame from the back, and a very french, chaotic but friendly waiter.
Favorite Dish: I had my breakfast here with french bread, a croissant, an omelet, orange juice and a coffee.

Restaurant Name: La Grande Mosquée de Paris
A very nice place to have a lunch or a drink in a very relaxed and colourful environment is the Salon de Thé that belongs to La Mosquée, Paris' biggest mosque near the Jardin des Plantes in arrondissement 5. In a beautifully decorated inner square you can enjoy a glass of mint tea, several dishes like couscous or try a waterpipe, or shisha. The scenery is very arabic with mosaics, cast-iron lamps, beautiful paintings inside and an audience that is mostly of arabic origins. The prices are not high in comparison with places further towards the centre and the personnel is very nice. If you are in the neighbourhood, you should definitely come and see this Salon de Thé!

Restaurant Name: Lots of restaurants
When you have a small budget and you still want to eat in a Paris restaurant, then you have to go to the Quartier Latin. This is the quarter of the students of the Sorbonne-university, and has lots of very cheap restaurants. You can taste lots of different styles here: from Japanese to Greek, from Spanish to Turkish, and from Chinese to Mexican. And yes, there are some French restaurants too. But be careful: there are some disadvantages about these restaurants: - Don´t expect the best food of Paris. The cheapest menu´s aren´t really special, but they do taste good most of the times. - The waiters almost pull you inside, when you only look at their restaurant, so don´t look too obvious... - Eat slowly! When you finished one dish, the other one is served immediately. So eat slowly if you don´t want to rush your dinner. And when you are not alone, finish your dishes together, because they don´t even mind to serve the next dish when the other is not even finished. - Don´t expect the best service: they don´t serve dishes like they´re supposed to, they pull the menu out of your hands, they give you the bill without you asking for it. All bad things...but at least you can have dinner for only € 15,- per person...

Restaurant Name: Au Petit Moulin
During my walk through the quarter of Montmartre I found this tiny restaurant that must be one of the smallest places to eat in Paris. At the time I passed there the place was closed, otherwise I would have definitely tried it out. The place is owned by a Chilian man. That is why the restaurant is also called "El Molino". He made up the current latin-american menu, with mostly Chilian dishes, but also some other ones from Uruguay and Argentina. The specialty of the house is said to be "Pot-au-feu chilien", but as I said I haven't been able (yet) to check it myself. The place looks very charming from the outside, just away from the crowds in front of the Sacre Coeur. I think it would be wise to call first if you want to have dinner there, because the place is so small that it will be full quickly probably.
