Though not a big fan of milestones the idea of visiting 100 countries or geographic areas of the over 300 such classified by the group The century club does have a certain appeal to me. Though disagreeing with some of the designation since the United states gets six(Continental, Alaska,Hawaii, puerto rico, us virign and ameican somoa) while Brazil is only one though the Amazon region and the South of Brazil might as well be two different countries. Most of the members of this club are going to be above 60 and I judge I will be around that by the time I reach 100 assuming 2 to 3 new countries per year(only been to 10 so far and am already 31). Since my wife is from Brazil and we live in the United States many of our trip will be in the political boundaries of those countries. Next on our wish list is Italy, Ireland and for me Japan(my wife has already been). Who know if I will reach this goal and if i really wanted to I could do one of those ten caribean islands in 14 days cruises or if it is Tuesday it most be Paris trips but that is not the point of traveling. Our recent trip to Berlin was done to see a friend of my wifes who is an Au Pair there for a year and also to get a taste of the country before we go in Summer 2006 for the World Cup.
