Traveling in Spain.

I was in Spain last fall and stayed for a while with friends in Madrid. I did like Madrid and I just love the spanish, they are so nice and there hospitality is out of this world. When I was in Bilbao I called my friend in Madrid and asked her if I could come and stay for a few days. She had before said that I was always welcome to her home. She is a mother of a girl who used to live for some time in Iceland and became a very good friend of mine. And one evening we went to this great restaurant doing traditional food from Marocco. It was so good. I will put in the name of it later.

Back in Iceland for a while.

Yes I am back in Iceland.I have done some traveling wich I will write someting about in the near future. Now I am working at a hotel out in the country side in the west part of Iceland.Will put some photos from the place and of the pepole working with me

Yes this is it. Hotel Edda Laugum Saelingsdal.
I started on 5th. of June and will finish at the end of August. It is a good place to work at, only a summer hotel but t that is ok.
We do have a swimining pool and 40? c hot tub wich i try to use at least 4 times a week. This hotel is in the west part of Iceland only about 175 km away from Reykjavik

I am now starting to count the days till my travel starts. I will leave Iceland on the 18 th of november 2003 and fly to London. The 22 nd. of november I will fly to Tours in France where I will stay 1 or 2 days and then start hitchiking to Portugal .
My reason for doing that is that I started many years ago on a hitchike tour from Denmark to Portugal but never got further than to Bordeaux in France so I have to finish it now. On the way I hope to stop at least 1 or 2 days in Bilbao where i would like to see the Guggenheim museum. Any other stops I just take as they come. After getting to Potugal I will head straight
back to Madrid in Spain where I got some friends who live there. After that no special plan but I am sure i will think of something. Been thinking about Marocco but just have to see when I get to Madrid. So for now I will stop and come back later with some more stories and hopefully then from the road. All the best for now

I went to the Westmanna Islands the other day. In 1973 there was a eruption see this link http://www.eyjar.is/eyjar/Westm.html
It is a great place to visit and i have a uncle living there and we went playing snooker friday and saturday and on the saturday we went pub crawling . Hope you like the photos and if you come to Iceland try to get to the Westmanna islands.In the summer lot of puffins nest on the islands.
