The lions have been guarding the Norwegian Parliament and the Norwegian capital for many years. |
| | The old Akershus Fortress, looking out over the Oslo fjord. When I first visited it this summer, I expected a long walk to find it, but it's basically situated in the middle of the city and it's hard to miss. Definitely worth a visit, even if you, like I did, just walk around outside it. I never knew we had buildings like these in our country... |
| | The Oslo fjord seen from the fortress, just before the clouds came. The tip of Aker brygge, (Aker pier) on the right, it has lots of expensive appartments and is also where some of the boats going out to the little islands dock. |
