Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse lies in Yvelines, the 78th French département. There are about 6,000 people, and a boulanger with yummy baguettes (food kinda baguette... ;) St. Remy is in the national park Vallée de Chevreuse, so the scenery is amazing. |
The walk from the house to the train station was about 20 - 25 minutes. The walk back however... I started to hate those hills... and the stairs! But hey, it's beautiful... the hills, the trees, the flowers... It smelled like heaven for a few weeks during spring. I don't know what it was, must have been a combination of trees and flowers, but I'm sure that if heaven exists, that's what it will smell like. |
I fell in love with this little house. I walked past it every time I was going to the school, to Paris, to my French classes, basically whenever I was going anywhere. It's small and cute and with those windows it just looks like it's opening up to you. |
