Can you believe this is Waukegan?

Pros:"Gorgeous old brick homes, located right at Lake Michigan, extremely diverse, Dockside Dogs, lakefront looks like the Caribbean on some summer days, Metra keeps you only 1-1/2 hours from downtown Chicago"
Cons:"Has some seedy areas but it only reflects the true diversity the city has :)"
In A Nutshell:"One of Lake County's great cities!"

We ate at Campari pre-show on Valentine's day. Please look at my review on TripAdvisor. It was nowhere near as good as yours, and we cannot recommend this restaurant.

Pleasure to revisit this lovely place through your tips. You must be pretty close to the Wisconsin border? Have seen Lake Michigan from Port Washington up to Sheboygan.

Nice start on Waukegan, hope to see more :-) I slept over in the harbor there once, a very long time ago when sleeping on the deck of a ship seemed like a fun idea!
