Osasco - Cidade Trabalho (Labor City)

by andrebuzzulini - last update: May 6, 2008

The fifth largest city of São Paulo state

Crossed by three important roads, Osasco is one of the most important cities in the state. With strong industrial and commercial areas, it's the main town in west of São Paulo metropolitan area. There are important companies, like the HQ of Bradesco (biggest latin-american bank), SBT (3rd biggest TV channel of Brazil), the newspaper Diário Popular, etc. Osasco has three big malls: Continental, Osasco Plaza and Supershopping Osasco and supermarkets like Wal-Mart, Carrefour, Extra and Barateiro. Besides that Osasco is only 16 Km from SP downtown. Population: 705,000 inhabitants.

Pros:"Trade and business center, 16 km from São Paulo downtown, a lot of new investments"
Cons:"Lack of green areas"
In A Nutshell:"It's impossible to know where São Paulo ends and Osasco begins. They're totally connected."
