Off The Beaten Path: Oil palm ...
  • Tip Rating:
  • This is not exactly in KL proper but as one passes off the beaten path away from the city, you would be able to see this weird frodded trees .. and yes.. its oil palm trees! Malaysia currently accounts for 1/2 of world palm oil production.

As the biggest producer and exporter of palm oil and palm oil products, Malaysia has an large role to in fulfilling the global needs for oils in various forms.

Off The Beaten Path: Melawati Hills - Kemensah
  • Tip Rating:
  • 14-kilometre jungle trail that crosses from west to east from Kg Kemensah (behind the Zoo) to the Sg Chongkak recreational area in Ulu Langat. I took us around an hour hike to get to the waterfalls.
