My experience of Paris.

by sahlenare - last update: Jun 26, 2008

I’ve been to Paris twice and what I have heard the Parisians should be rude, not very service minded and the list continues…

My experience of Paris is nice, charming and very polite and service minded people.
For an example I and my friend were wandering around the streets in Paris when an elderly woman looks at us and then asked us with her queen English accent if we were lost and if she could help. It turned out that this fabulous woman is very much a Parisian who had been married to an Englishman. She helped us a lot as we were lost in Paris.

Of course we were just walking while in Paris stopping by the nice café’s having our Café crème. Where ever we went the people were so service minded and helpful!

When we first arrived we took the bus from the airport to central Paris, it said it should take approximately 1hour to Paris, I don’t think they included the traffic jam that had us stuck in the bus for 3,5 hour. ;)
Finally in central Paris with our map we started to walk, and walk, and walk of course we had our suitcases with us, in the middle of July a very, very hot summer. Suddenly we realize that the shop’s look strange, the women does wear a lot of make-up and have short skirts to their VERY high heel shoes!! O M G we’re at Paris red light district! Oh yes, after another 35 minutes of walking down the small alleys we found our hotel. I wish I could remember the name of the hotel, I’ll try to find it. You know in the old moves where a person ends up at a mystic hotel, were the elevator is out of order you can almost imagine the cockroaches and rats running in the hall way. Oh yes.. That’s the hotel were we stayed. Accidentally we look under our beds woooooow bad idea!!
After a lot of giggling we packed up our suitcases and headed down to do Paris. Hmm after we walk a few blocks we realized that Paris was ‘closed’ due to some holiday. We found a small Italian restaurant that was open and served us one of the best meals we ever had!
We only stayed in Paris a few days as we had rented a car (our lovely Blue Renault Megane cabriolet) which would take us to Toulouse
