The trip to Istanbul

Well having met Jan in Bulgaria , the one in the middle, after a reply to my internet posting looking for a cycle partner for Turkey we also met some german cyclists with tandem bicycles travelling with blind people. Turned out Jan hadn't bought his bike yet and the german blindcycletour had someone go home peeved off so Jan jumped on their tandem and we all cycled to Istanbul together. Sounded like a socialistic bunch to be hanging with but wasn't that way at all...
Sebastian the organiser wasnt in it for the love of the blind but merely saw it as a personal challengeand was a real stress-head to travel with, made for real tensions within the group and I was too scared to ask if there might be time for me to check the internet after the day I hinted that while we were at a good water supply might be a good time to wash clothes, apparaently clean clothes werent as important as THE SCHEDULE. but other than a really stressy group to travel with the trip from the border to Istanbul was great. The people were incredibly friendly and made us feel like celebrities waving at us and caling out hello

One town on the way to Istanbul

Dont remember exactly what the name of the town was but we sat down for coffee and hello this little band appeared from nowhere and gave us a mini concert just for our benefit
