Christmas time fun in India 2009

New adventures always await...

There is nothing I like more than taking a journey, having a holiday, going on a trip.

I've been very lucky and in the past have spent many months just travelling - lovely!!

I trained to be an english teacher in Seville and I am now living in Málaga and teaching English at a language school in the centre of the city.

¡cómo es fantástico!

But I'm always interested in visiting new cities, encountering new cultures and seeing the world, it's a big place!

Latin America 2003 -2004

Evidence of our walking talent!

One of our longest trips was around Latin America. We started in Quito, Ecuador in September 2003 and ended our Latin American leg in Havana, Cuba August 2004.

We started our trip with a month of language school at the Simon Bolivar Spanish School in Quito. A great place to learn the necessary for the trip!

We went on to visit many different countries, saw amazing sites and met great people.

It was FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

South East Asia

With Jay and Jenny in Luang Prabang, Lao

I first visited Thailand in 1989 and have been returning ever since. In 2004 we spent September to December in South East Asia visiting Thailand, Lao, VietNam, Cambodia and Burma.

I was lucky enough to return to Cambodia in 2008 with my friend. Her sister currently lives there, she works for the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) . We had a fantastic trip and I would love to return again one day.

France

I'm very lucky that several members of my family live in France, so I visit there quite regularly. It's a wonderful country to visit and nice and close to England and Spain!

Living in Europe means that loads of countries are really nearby, and I love to visit, even if it's just for the weekend.

I'm yet to visit quite a lot of it though...

Travelling for work!

Working hard in Jamaica

From February 2005 to August 2006 I worked as a traval consultant, and went on several 'Educational trips. The first was to San Francisco, the secong to Dubai and the last one to Jamaica.

It was a fantastic way to stay in and see some amazing hotels, rather different from my usual hostel and hotels!

In the Gambia

We've also had great trips to Africa (he Gambia) and the USA and spent Christmas and New Year 2009 in Kerala, India.

There are so many countries to visit, the 'wish list' is rather long...!

Blighty!

Even though I do love to leave the United Kingdom (mainly due to the weather) there are some wonderful places to visit in Blighty. There are few places that beat England on a warm summers evening, when you have a large Pimms and a picnic!
