    Getting TO/AROUND: The nearest international airport is Bodrum airport, 40km away from the town. Airport is new and very nice. Daily flights to Istanbul are availavble and during the season there are direct charter flights from all major European cities.

    Getting TO/AROUND: Dolmus (literally means “filled up”) is something like a mini bus, something like a line taxi, and you have it in all parts of Turkey as a public way of transportation. Prices are really low, 500 thousand liras inside the town, and 2 millions between towns (like Turgutreis-Bodrum which is 18 km). The driver will wait until the dolmus is full, before the journey begins. Passengers pay according to the distance traveled and can get in and out whenever and wherever they want to by informing the driver. I would suggest to anyone who is coming to Turkey to try going somewhere with dolmus, because it’s really a fun and totally different experience.
