Useful words and phrases............. and other Benidorm, Spain Local Custom Tips

My spanish isn't great but here are some common words and phrases which are fairly easy and i found useful.....

Hola (pronounced 'ola') - Hello
Adios ('adios') - Goodbye
Gracias ('grathias') - Thankyou
Por Favor ('pour Fav or') - Please
Si ('Si') - Yes
No ('no') - No

If approached by beggers, 'lookie lookie' men (selling jewelery etc) or rose sellers etc these were my common responses which seemed to do the trick...

No dinero ('no den ear ro') - no money
No tengo dinero ('no ten-go den-ear-ro) - have no money
No quero ('no key-air-ro') - don't want!
No Gracias ('no grathias') - no thanks

If you get lost.............

Donde estas...name of hotel/bar etc ('don-day estas...') - where is.....?
No ablo espanol ('no ablo es-pan-yol') - Don't speak spanish
Ablo inglais? ('ablo in-glais-e') - Speak english?
