|  | Travelling in England The train is our travel mode of choice in England. People may moan and groan about the British railway system, and it is certainly not perfect, but I'd rather travel by train than any other means (preferably 1st Class). |
| | Try something different In recent years we have found a more unusual way of exploring our home country. A good friend of ours owns a traditional British canal boat (narrowboat), and we have had a number of enjoyable trips with him along some of the canals and rivers of England.
