Milan was not what I expected. I was prepared for it to be more "modern" than the rest of Europe and less pretty. However, I found it to be surprisingly pretty and not modern. For some reason, the city really reminded me of Washington DC, my hometown.
I was however a bit disappointed with the fashion. I had thought that the Milanese would be quite well dressed and fashionable. I guess the dumpster chic of the Olson twins is the rage there as all I saw was grubby sneakers and dirty clothes. |
