"Dunvegan and its castle" Dunvegan by Manara

Dunvegan Travel Guide: 2 reviews and 5 photos

Dunvegan is a village in the Isle of Skye, Scotland, about 35 km (22 miles) from Portree. It is by the Loch Dunvegan, which is actually a bay, not a lake. The village and the castle are situated by the innermost part of the bay, where it is most narrow.

The flat-topped hill that you see across the water in the picture here above is one of the two mountains named The McLeod's Tables (part of the second one is visible on the left-had side of the picture). They are about 500 metres high and are both in the peninsula on the other side of the Loch Dunvegan.
