Traveling through Andalucía

by GeSpy - last update: Aug 25, 2003

From sevilla to Malaga

Our trip through Andalucía (in orange)
On the 18th of july in 2003 we took the plain to sevilla to start our Andalucían trip. Trip went from Sevilla via Tarifa to Rincon de la Victoria (Malaga). We also visited Tangier (Marocco), Gibraltar, Malaga and Nerja.

The first three days we stayed is Sevilla. From there we took the bus to Tarifa, where we stayed seven days. From Tarifa we took a daytrip to Tangier and Gibraltar. After a week we took the bus to Malaga, where we went with a taxi to Rincon de Victoria. Here we stayed for 5 days. We made daytrips to Malaga and Nerja (and the caves).

After a total of two weeks we wend to Malaga, where we took the plain back home.
The cathedral of Sevilla

Sevilla

Three days in Sevilla, with a tempeture of 40 C. Luckily our hotel had a swimming pool. We stayed at Gran Hotel Renaciomento at Isla de la Cartuja. It is a bit out-of-the-way, but after 15 minutes walking you are at a busstop where you can take a lot of busses.
With the circle line busses you go arround the center, so you can stop anywhere and walk into the center. The nicest place is arround the cathedral, where you also have the Alcazar and the Santa Cruz area.
For more detals, see my Sevilla page.

Tarifa

After the heat of Sevilla, it is nicely cool in Tarifa. There is allways a wind from sea, that prevents it from getting hot. Therefore Tarifa is also a favorite destination for surfers (on the water, not on the Internet).

It has a beatiful beach and a very nice old center. The old center consists of old and narrow streets, where you can find a lot of bars and restaurants.

For more information, see my Tarifa page.
