    Floating Market: Floating Market
  • Tip Rating:
  • The Damnoen Saduak Floating Market is located at Damnoen Saduak District, Ratchaburi Province, about 85 kms from Bangkok.

It is the Thai's old and traditional way of selling and buying fruits and vegetables from small boats. Along side of the river, you can see several houses.

To go to the floating market itself, you need to ride a motor boat (James Bond Boat). Arriving at the floating market, you can rent a boat to go around the canal. It's approximately 300-400 baht per boat.

Since this is a tourist attraction, you really need to know how to bargain and get a good price. Initial price is usually higher.

We bought an album which originally cost 800 baht. Then after some negotiations, we got it for 350 baht. =D
