Berlin is amazing! i spent just over a week here, and it was maybe enough to see all the popular sights, but i'm sure i missed loads of out of the way stuff. The city is massive, especially the center, and the suburbs seem to go on forever. The public transport is efficient to the second (as you would expect), most of the locals speak english, (several cinema's show movies in English), and its busy. Even out of the tourist season. |
| | What to do... Wether you're here on holiday, for work, or just passing through, there's loads to keep you busy. Dozens of cinema complexes & shopping centers, hundreds of museums, an uncountable amount of souvenir shops, historical attractions, the list is endless. |
The cheapest place i've been in Germany And if you're travelling on a budget (as impossible as it may seem), Berlin is very backpacker friendly. Prices are not extortionate, especially not at certain hostels, and there is such a diversity of options that you can take your pick. I lived on about €200 in a week here, including 2 meals a day, transport (mostly walking, to be honest), and a couple movies with a few beers now and then. | | |

| Pros: | "Huge, diverse, friendly, & English speaking" | | Cons: | "Too big to walk..." | | In A Nutshell: | "If you're in Germany, you got to visit the capital!" |
