Cusco - the Florence of south america is a hard one, I mean where does one start when writing about it? It's a tall order! Obviously a must, I will not attempt to be an expert but there's everything there to any anyone satisfied. Some of the finest food, museums, nightlife, shopping (Peruvian), architecture etc... Above is a photos I though might whet the appetite for when you visit!

Cusco is a rare city in that in the same street you can see colonial building standing next to ancient Inca edifices. The latter are impressive for more than one reason, not just because of the advanced engineering and construction methods employed, or because of their style, but because they've stood for so long against many severe earthquakes. When you see how finely the great rocks were cut and put into place to form a jigsaw you'll realise just how advanced they were as a race.
