Sfax it the industial work-horse of the Tunisian economy. There isn't much to do as a tourist, I was only there because my Father was working there on a contract. There is an old medina which is worth a look at but if you are travelling down the coast towards the Sahara then it might be worth stocking up on travel essentials before the utter remoteness of the south.

• Pros:Nice medina
• Cons:Too large, poor infra-structure, not really a tourist spot
• In a nutshell:Don't go out of your way to visit Sfax
