"Bushenyi IS a Great Place to See" Bushenyi District by Nankani

Bushenyi is cooler than the Northern parts of Uganda. At least that is what my African friends tell me. They are always in coats and long-sleeves while I am in a tank top and roasting! It is lush green and is cattle country. I love the Banyankole. They are the most attractive of Ugandas people in my opinion. Their language, Runyankole is beautiful. The President Museveni hails from this tribe. People are very friendly. Stop and spend the night and visit the Hot Springs.

Jimmy -The Music Man- Bunanukye

If you get a chance find the store owned by Jimmy Bunanukye (Boon-ah-new-ch-aye ) Ask anyone they will know him. Very nice family man and AWESOME guitar player, singer and that man can dance!!! He is one of the funniest people I know. Always keeps the group laughing. Not easy to make a living in Uganda so look him up and spend a few shilling!

• Pros:Lush green area, friendly people, good food, GOOD roads
• Cons:Not a lot for tourists but nice for lunch.
• In a nutshell:Make Sure to not pass through but stop for a meal
