Fallingwaters? Hmmm I have to admit that I've never heard of this place or even Frank Lloyd Wright but my friend KC , a lass from Chicago, had heard of him and I guess Fallingwaters is one of his masterpiece. So after traveling all day from Chicago we got to this area just outside Pittsburgh.
Fallingwaters was built by Frank LLoyd Wright for the Kaufman's of Pittsburgh. The family used to have a summer home in Mill Run that overlooks this waterfall and when they decided to built a bigger summer house they ask Frank LLoyd Wright . The architect instead of building a house overlooking the fall he did one better by incorporating the fall with the design.
The house was designed to enjoy the surrounding natural beauty instead. Wright wanted the beauty outside the house as the topic of conversation and not the house so he designed a modest house if you compare to some of the summer house built by rich people nowadays

When Edgar Kaufman (the son) stopped using this summer retreat he donated it to a conservation society so that public can enjoy just what his father wanted when he built this house
