Built in 1932 the Harbour Bridge has been a symbol of the city and provides a great vantage point to get a nice look of the Harbour and the cityscape.
Pedestrians can enter the bridge walkaway from a set of stairs in Cumberland St above Argyle St in The Rocks. The bridge's southern pylon, there is an entry on the walkway that gives you a great spot for photo-ops.
if you are an adrenaline junkie, you can sign up to do the "BRIDGECLIMB".. It takes you to the summit of the bridge where you can yell "I'M ON THE TOP OF THE WORLD" ( I swear I'm not a fan of Leonardo DiCaprio). It's only mildly strenous but it will sure put a stress on your wallet so for those afraid of heights this a good news for you. Oh yeah I was told that you have to take a breathalyzer test before they let you so to all you partyers out there better do the climb first then you can throw back a couple of schooners.
