Walking in the forest, 35 meters above the ground: The national park Hainich is located in a former training area of the East German army. After the re unification a national park was created. One of the highlights is the so called Baumkronenpfad, a metal trail that takes you up to the top of the forest. Beside that, there are many marked trails for trekking and bicycle tours. |
