If you are in the Marbella area you have to visit Ronda for a dasy trip. It's a small town up in the mountains only an hours drive from the coast. It's on the way towards Sevilla.

The drive there is half the fun as you drive up a mountain turning and shifting gears constantly. You feel like you are driving on one of those roads they shoot car commersials. But beware of oncoming traffic trying to pass.

In Ronda you have the oldest bullfighting arena in Spain. Inside is a museum. There is an old Moorish section of town with labyrinth cobblestone streets. The many sites are well posted and documented in English and Spanish.

The view around Ronda is great, including the ancient bridge connecting the old and new part of the town. When I was there the farm land below was covered in a fog, and majestic mountains in the background make for a pretty picture.

The newer part of town has some nice pedestrian shopping streets.
