Thai Story.
When you hear about Asia – what do you imagine ? I always thought it was like another planet–something absolutely different and not understandible .Can one feel comfortable in the strange surroundings? Curiosity ,love to adventures , childish faith in the fairy-tales ,thrilling feeling of a hidden danger – what else can make a person dive into another culture ? We flew off to Thailand at the end of January ,tired of a long wet , muddy and windy winter and in some hours the airplane plunged us into hot jelly of thick mixture of strong strange odors. There were odors of tropical flowers, oriental ointments, spices, exotic fruits, and many other unknown things . But it was much more than just the change from dull winter to bright summer–it was a trip to an absolutely different world .That world appeared to be tender and friendly , it gave way to imagination . I realized I was a part of that world somehow , though I knew practically nothing about it.I never had such feelings ! The kaleidoscope of places we visited and people we met during our two week stay still stays clearly in my memory: Bangkok with its adorable palaces and temples ,exotic parks ,crazy Pattaya ,charm of tropical Samui island... After we came back ,I bought Lonely Planet guide on Thailand and studied it carefully and even worked out some routs for future trips. Now, when I read travellers’ stories about Thailand I recognize the names and views of the places and I have no doubt one day I will be there – at home... |

| | KOh Samui Samui ranks as one of the most popular destinations in Asia. A true blue paradise island, mesmerizing visitors with its charm and finesse, Koh Samui's brilliance includes its hills, forest waterfalls, rocky coves and surrounding islands (besides its renowned beaches). Hikers also find much in the way of hidden lakes, jungle and wildlife to discover. The Gulf of Siam, beauty of the eastern sea, reflects the esthetic beauty of this archipelago. |
