Not a fanciful ambience but a place for great food at a really affordable price and a friendly staff - with our favorite thai green curry (among our endless list of favorites from the restaurant) - this place has seafood, international fare and of course, local fare.

Restaurant Name: Ban Rim Paa

Great decor, luxurious presentation, good view of Phuket night lights in the distance, complimented by sea breeze and candlelight. Food is in general good - this is an award-winning restaurant. They even publish their own cookbooks. This is on the pricey side, but service is excellent and ambience is great.

Favorite Dish: Everything was very good, from desserts to the fried starch. My friends who ordered the pineapple rice were full of praise although they found it somewhat greasy.

Directions: Get a sneaky tuk tuk driver to take you there. We only ended up there because we were tricked by him - they get a commission from the restaurant for dropping stupid unsuspecting tourists, such as myself, there.
