Ios Petrosky travels

by Petrosken - last update: Sep 6, 2006

Tabin nature reserve - Sabah - Borneo

Big trip 2006 - Malaysia

Here we go. Asian adventure this year. Borneo, Malay peninsula, among orchids, sea turtles, monkeys, temples, very nice people, good food.
More in my Malay pages. Have a look.
In the photo, me and my wife, in perfect "jungle dressing" near a mud volcano.
Temple I

Big trip 2005: Mexico + Guatemala + New York

Well, I'm just back from a super-travel around Mexico with a stop in New York and and stop in Guatemala (Tikal).
This big trip can be split in 3 parts:
New York: big city, chaos, theaters, shopping, bad smell, traffic ... well I hate big cities, I'm a country boy
Archeological Mexico: Chichen Itzą, Uxmal, and a jump to Tikal in Guatemala.
Seaside Mexico: Tulum and surrounding area
The archeological session is going to jump at number one of my personal ranking, but the seaside part and New York will push the big trip as a whole down to number three.
My wife has a different opinion (of course). For her this is the most fantastic big trip she's ever made.

The pictures shows my wife and me upon Temple II in Tikal. On the background the famous Temple I

Big trip 2004: Namibia

Here we go again. Me and my wife in front of the Dune 45 in the Sossusvlei area. Taken as a whole trip, Namibia resists at the top of my personal rankings for the diversity of landscapes, for the contact with the wildlife and for the sense of freedom of those long rides across the desert.
The Cape

Big trip 2003: South Africa

Me and my wife at the Cape of Good Hope during our honeymoon in South Africa. It's been a fly and drive even if we took some planes to cover long distances. We visited Cape Town, Cape Point Reserve, Ngala and Ingwe reserves, the Mpumalanga.
The complete story on my website since it's very long and cannot be posted here. Comments are welcome.
