Dallas-Fort Worth

by Maria250 - last update: Oct 7, 2008

Dallas-Fort Worth is the place where those awesome country music singer/songwriters like Willie Nelson, George Strait or Tommy Lynn Hunter i.e. were born and/or raised. Another Texas born country music singer is Drew Womack. I think his statement of lately sums up best what's Fort Worth might feel like to the town's visiters:

"FORT WORTH, YOU GOT CLASS, YOU BLEND THE FUTUR WITH THE PAST LIKE THE WORDS AND MUSIC TO A CLASSIC SONG".

Pls check him out at http://www.drewwomack.com/index.html
Fort Worth
Arriving/visiting in Texas' Dallas-Fort Worth did remind me actually a little bit on arriving/visiting in Hesse's Frankfurt-Sachsenhausen. Both cities are HUGE and divided into further "metropolitan divisions". Then both cities have their historical center such as Sachsenhausen is to Frankfurt or Stockyards Station is to Fort Worth, with an amazing amount of entertaining & cultural spots!
Fort Worth
Fort Worth has happened to host that "1st Annual Big Texas VT Meet" thank to Mark and his wife Sarah which did such a great job in getting us, fellow VTers, together and having such a wonderful VT Meet-time with visiting different sights and getting an idea of western lifestyle years back. Wish I had more time off than just that weekend. And wish I had the chance to visit - once stateside - with friends as well. Next time. There's always a next time, I trust.

Now, since many wonderful VTers already provid great & detailed informations on Fort Worth I rather like to set links to their pages* (among my Fort Worth tips) than adding things to informations already said.
Pls check'em*out.

Pros:"Lovely land & precious people!!! Fantastic food!!!"
Cons:"To my eyes one would be "lost" without car and company since Dallas-Fort Worth is not limited to Stockyards Station"
In A Nutshell:"Fort Worth's Stockyards Station alone is definitive a travel worth and so is a travel to Texas generally!!!"
