North Carolina ratified the U.S. Constitution in 1789. Fayetteville later missed being designated the state capital by a single vote. Fayetteville got its name from the Revolutionary Marquis de Lafayette.

Fayetteville Museum of Art

The Fayetteville Museum of Art contains world-class, outdoors exhibits and rotating art. Yet a bit rosty on a day in the middle of January. Its garden of natural woodland ground is happen to have also concerts, workshops and special events. It's already a special winter event to take the muddy-cypress lined way to the Museum on Stamper Road.

Fayetteville Bragg Boulevard

A large boulevard, an endless road of little places of "finds" such as bargain shops, pawn shops, antique shops, folk art shops, gift shops, tattoo shops, nightclubs, coffee shops, malls, on and on, with hundreds of restaurants offering meals from coastal waters seafood to North Carolina BBQ.
