Passing the Weser valleys, and about 14 miles from Hameln, there's located Bad Pyrmont. This spa town has many famous medicinal springs (brine with iodine content) which is used for any medical treatment. Also Bad Pyrmont has a most beautiful spa garden with Kurhaus, that provids with an evaporation hall, many different treatment buildings, and a near by salt grotto.

In Bad Pyrmont's outskirts one can find this most magnificent castle, Schloss Haemelschenburg, which is one of the great masterpieces of the Weser Renaisssance, and was built about 1588. The Bridge gates's statue of St. Georg dates back from 1600.
