"Fond Memories of Napolean" Olathe by TheFish

Olathe is a lovely little suburb. it's in southern johnson county, and has some of the richest and poorest people in that county. i was once told that olathe was an indian word for "don't go there".

i think that, if towns could be analysed, a pyschiatrist would have a field day with olathe. it's got the biggest napolean complex i've ever seen. it's like it can't deal with the fact that it's just a little suburb of kansas city. it wants to be big. it wants to be its own city, big and famous like new york. everything in olathe is big. really REALLY BIG. there's a thirty screen theatre. why would you ever need thirty screens? all the big multi-purpose stores like target, wal-mart and k-mart are in olathe, but they're bigger. they're super sized: so big you can literaly get lost in them. (late at night, security guard is walking around... finds someone hiding out in the luggage department... eating a frozen pizza taken from the frozen section... cooked in one of the display microwaves... it's like that movie that's coming out.) everything in olathe has to be bigger than any other branch in the kansas city area. it's ridiculous.

i'm starting to ramble, so i'll just stop and hope you got my point.
