Greetings from Santa Monica, California

Moved back to California earlier this year. I haven't done much of anything for this site for about 2 years now but I plan to update it soon with my travels during my long absence.

Over the past 2 years, I've been to:
Ulaan Batar, Mongolia - to volunteer for Habitat for Humanity
Kashgar and Urumqi, Xinjiang Province, China
Backpacked from Kashgar all the way east to Shanghai, China
Bangkok, Thailand - vacation
Boracay, Philippines - vacation

Recently, my new job has taken me to:
Seoul, Korea (new place for me!)
Tokyo, Japan
Taipei, Taiwan

I will be traveling to Dublin, Ireland then to London, England, and Paris, France soon for work. Afterwards, I plan to take a few days off and visit an old friend in Stockholm, Sweden.

What a year in Beijing

The famous GREAT WALL

Whew! What a year Beijing turned out to be. Beijing was the first foreign city I have ever lived in after having grown up in CA. "Wow" basically sums up a year of crazy changes, bewilderment, awe, and of course, fun. There were a lot of moments where Beijing made you think, "Wow, never thought I would see/experience/taste/feel this here..." I'll explain this more later in my Beijing page...

San Francisco Bay Area, California

The Golden Gate Bridge

Prior to China, I lived in Berkeley, California, right across the bay from the city of San Francisco - one of the greatest cities in the world. I miss the great weather, the Bay, hikes in the summer and snowboarding trips to Tahoe in the winter. More to follow in the San Francisco page...
