Karala caves

Karala caves IS 15 KM from Lonawala on the way to Poona.
Can go by taxi, auto. Its on top small rock mountain.
One has to clim up ,it took 20 min .Ah stpes are steep. Its one of the old rock-cut architecture caves.
This is main cave,Chaitya Hall, its famous for both side decorated pillers. This is biggest and the greatest of the Chaitya Grihas in India. The interesting thing is orignal wooden architectural top, long lasting more than 2300 years!!!.
